On November 17, 2005, Tom Harvey, host and producer of The EcoReview, was presented with the Community Television of Santa Cruz County program winner award for Best Informational and Instructional show for 2005 by Maryanne Rehberg, Executive Director of Community Television of Santa Cruz. 

The award is based on a voting process that includes the CTSCC Board of Directors, Show Producers and staff of CTSCC with input from the community at large.

For more than nine consecutive years Tom Harvey has hosted and produced the award winning Community Television of Santa Cruz County-based program The EcoReview. Airing weekly on Channels 27 and 73, The EcoReview has established itself in the community as a leading source of educational information regarding environmental news and events affecting residence of Santa Cruz County, Californians in general and the nation as a whole. The program presents topics ranging from clean water management, water privatization and the impact of land use practices such as logging and road building on watersheds and waterways as well as renewable energy topics including: "green" building materials, energy efficient technologies for transportation and alternative residential and commercial architectural designs that utilize green technologies for construction and maintenance.

The program reports on problematic Timber Harvest Plan proposals, waste management issues, the impact of highway expansion plans and regional development on wildlife as well as flora and fauna and provides educational insights and solutions to these issues based on input from leading scientific, academic, political and activist panelists from Santa Cruz County and surrounding communities.

Viewer call-ins are welcomed and the show regularly generates interest and interaction from viewers across the county. 

The show airs weekly at 6:00pm. Check your local listings for which day.
